Celsius to Fahrenheit formula and how to convert

Formula to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit (°C to °F) is:

T(°F) = T(°C) × 9/5 + 32

So, to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply the temperature in degrees Celsius T(°C) by 9, divide the result by 5 and then add 32.

Example

How to convert 20 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit (°C to °F).

To convert 20 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit, substitute T(°C) in the Celsius to Fahrenheit formula for 20 and make the calculation.

T(°F) = 20 × 9/5 + 32 = 36 + 32 = 68

T(°F) = 68 or

20 °C = 68 °F

20 degrees Celsius (°C) are equal to 68 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).

or, 20 Celsius to Fahrenheit is 68°F

Celsius to Kelvin formula and how to convert

Formula to convert Celsius to kelvin (°C to K) is:

T(K) = T(°C) + 273.15

So, to convert Celsius to kelvin, add 273.15 to the temperature in degrees Celsius T(°C).

Example

How to convert 20 degrees Celsius (°C) to kelvin (K)?

To convert 20 degrees Celsius to kelvin, substitute T(°C) in the Celsius to kelvin formula for 20 and make the calculation.

T(K) = 20 + 273.15 = 293.15

T(K) = 293.15 or

20 °C = 293.15 K

20 degrees Celsius (°C) are equal to 293.15 Kelvin (K).

or, 20 Celsius to Kelvin is 293.15K

Celsius to Rankine formula and how to convert

Formula to convert Celsius to Rankine (°C to °R) is:

T(°R) = [T(°C) + 273.15] × 9/5

Therefore, to convert Celsius to Rankine, add 273.15 to the temperature in degrees Celsius T(°C), multiply the result by 9 and then divide by 5.

Example

How to convert 20 degrees Celsius (°C) to degrees Rankine (°R)?

Substitute T(°C) in the Celsius to Rankine formula for 20 and make the calculation.

T(°R) = [20 + 273.15] × 9/5 = 293.15 × 9/5 = 527.67

T(°R) = 527.67 or

20 °C = 527.67 °R

20 degrees Celsius (°C) are equal to 527.67 degrees Rankine (°R).

Celsius to Réaumur formula and how to convert

Formula to convert Celsius to Réaumur (°C to °Ré) is:

T(°Ré) = T(°C) × 4/5

Therefore, to convert Celsius to Reaumur, multiply the temperature in degrees Celsius T(°C) by 4 and then divide by 5.

Example

How to convert 20 degrees Celsius (°C) to degrees Réaumur (°Ré)?

Substitute T(°C) in the Celsius to Réaumur formula for 20 and then make the calculation.

T(°Ré) = 20 × 4/5 = 16

T(°Ré) = 16 or

20 °C = 16 °Ré

20 degrees Celsius (°C) are equal to 16 degrees Réaumur (°Ré).
