What is milliwatt?

The milliwatt is a unit of power equal to 0.001 watts (1 mW = 0.001 W), the derived unit of power in the International System of Units (SI). It is also equal to 1,000,000 nanowatts (nW), or 1,000 microwatts (μW), or 10-6 kilowatts (kW), or 10-9 megawatts (MW), or 10-12 gigawatts (GW) or 10-15 terawatts (TW).

1 mW = 0.001 W = 0.001 J/s = 0.001 N·m/s = 0.001 kg·m2/s3

(1 W = 1 J/s. The joule (J) is a derived unit of energy in the SI while the second (s) is a unit of time in the SI.)
