What is nanowatt?

The nanowatt is a unit of power equal to 10-9 watts (1 nW = 10-9 W), the derived unit of power in the International System of Units (SI). It is also equal to 10-6 milliwatts (mW), or 0.001 microwatts (μW), or 10-12 kilowatts (kW), or 10-15 megawatts (MW), or 10-18 gigawatts (GW) or 10-21 terawatts (TW).

1 nW = 10-9 W = 10-9 J/s = 10-9 N·m/s = 10-9 kg·m2/s3

(1 W = 1 J/s. The joule is a derived unit of energy in the SI while the second is a unit of time in the SI.)
