What is terawatt?

The terawatt is a unit of power equal to 1012 watts (1 TW = 1012 W), the derived unit of power in the International System of Units (SI). It is also equal to 1015 milliwatts (mW), or 1018 microwatts (μW), or 109 kilowatts (kW), or 1,000,000 megawatts (MW) or 1,000 gigawatts (GW).

1 TW = 1012 W = 1012 J/s = 1012 N·m/s = 1012 kg·m2/s3

(1 W = 1 J/s. The joule is a derived unit of energy in the SI while the second is a unit of time in the SI.)
