What is megabar?

The megabar is a non-SI unit of pressure equal to 1011 pascals (1 Mbar = 1011 Pa), the SI derived unit of pressure. It is also equal to 108 kilopascals (kPa), or 105 megapascals (MPa), or 9.86923267x105 atmospheres (atm), or 109 millibars (mbar), or 1.450379x107 pounds per square inch (psi), or 2.08854343x109 pounds per square foot (psf) or 7.5006168x108 torr (Torr).

The megabar is equal to 1012 dynes per square centimeter (1 Mbar = 1012 dyn/cm²). The dyne (dyn) is a unit of force in the centimetre-gram-second (CGS) system of units while the square centimeter (cm²) is a unit of area in the SI.
