What is Reaumur?

The degree Reaumur is a unit of measurement for temperature.

The Reaumur scale is a temperature scale named after the famous scientist Rene Antoine Ferchault de Reaumur (1683-1757). On the Reaumur scale, the freezing point of water is set to 0 °Re while the boiling point of water is set to 80 °Re.
