The week is a unit of time equal to a period of seven consecutive days. The seven-day week is the international standard for the duration of a week in ISO 8601.
A seven-day week is equal to 604,800 seconds (s), the base unit of time in the International System of Units (SI). The seven-day week is also equal to 168 hours (h) or 10,080 minutes (min), which are non-SI units of time but accepted for use along with other SI units.
The seven-day week is divided in the work week (or workweek) and weekend. In most countries, the workweek has five working days (Monday to Friday) and the weekend has two non-working days (Saturday and Sunday).
