What is milliliter?

The millilitre (or milliliter) is a unit of volume in the metric system equal to 10-6 cubic meters (1 mL = 10-6 m³), the derived unit of volume in the International System of Units (SI). It is also equal to 1012 cubic micrometers (μm³), or 1,000 cubic millimeters (mm³) or 1 cubic centimeter (cm³) (units of volume in the SI), or 1,000,000 nanoliters (nL), or 1,000 microliters (μL), or 0.01 deciliters (dL) or 0.001 liters (L), which are units of volume in the metric system.
